Frequently Asked Questions
You've got questions – we've got answers. Get to know The Good Life Dog Daycare & Boarding, Inc. and everything we have to offer:
Why dog daycare?
While you are at work, traveling, or just need a day to yourself, dog daycare is a great way for dogs to hang out with their own kind, socialize, and get love from humans. With our loving staff and secure and fun yards, your mind will be at ease while your pup plays with their new friends!
Why cage-free boarding?
Having a cage-free environment means that while your dog is here overnight, they will be relaxing and sleeping just like they would be at home. We provide comfy bedding and couches and our incredible staff will gladly cuddle with your pup all night. We also have comfy cottages for pups that need alone time to relax and recharge.
My dog doesn’t play all the time and often just wants love.
Daycare is still a great place for less active dogs. Many enjoy the company of watching other dogs play, socialize, and being with people. Which is perfectly fine with us!
My dog has food allergies.
It’s extremely important that we honor your request and only feed your pup the food you have provided us. We do our very best to ensure that dogs have enough space to eat their own snacks and meals and do not have access to other dogs food.
Can I visit the facility?
Yes! We would love to show you around. We understand it is important for you to feel comfortable before having your pup join us for the day. Give us a call, we’d love to set up a tour and put to ease any concerns that you may have.
Can I meet the staff?
Of course! We want nothing more than for you to feel completely comfortable leaving your dog with us for the day or overnight. Not only will our staff love your pup as though they are their very own, all staff are dog CPR/first aid trained and have taken behavioral training courses. Give us a call to set up an appointment.
How do you separate the dogs?
We want to create an environment that will work best for the dogs staying with us on any given day. While we tend to separate by size, behavior, and activity level, there may be times when all sizes of dogs are sharing a yard. Matching the needs of all our dogs is our top priority so we can create the best play experience for all the pups.
Do the dogs get into fights?
While our clients are in a controlled environment, there is never a guarantee. We take the necessary precautions to ensure each play day experience is fun and safe. We have staff in the yard at all times, we match up dogs with similar energy levels and behaviors, staff are trained to recognize particular dog behaviors, and all dogs are interviewed before they can join in on the fun.
My dog has some special needs.
We understand that many dogs have food allergies, take medication, are sensitive to certain noises or behaviors, and can even get nervous around other types of dogs or humans. We have created a space that is fun and safe for all types of dogs. Our staff understands the importance of getting to know each dog and their special needs in order to make their stay the best that it can be. We are more than happy to address your specific concerns.
What if I need to cancel?
No problem – we just ask that you give us 24 hours notice if you need to cancel daycare or boarding.
What kind of collar should I use?
To keep all pups safe, we ask that you only use the quick release. No chain, metal, pinch, or training collars.
What do I need to get started?
